No, I don't support him. I used to think he was a moderate Republican and competent administrator, a man I could live with if my candidate lost, like Bush I, or John McCain.
But after watching who he was willing to get in bed with just to get the nomination, the flip-flops and the campaign skulduggery, I have come to see him the way even most conservatives see him, as a profoundly cynical and unprincipled man. Someone who will do anything to be President.
The fact that Republicans hate Obama so much they are willing to support this man tells you how much these people are ruled by hatred and fear, ignorance and greed.
I finally figured it out, what makes these people tick. Bush II was supposed to be their Great White Hope, the man who would erase once and for all the memory of the Clinton Presidency and inaugurate a new Republican century.
He was groomed to be the new Reagan. He turned out to be the new Hoover. And now they are terrified Obama might become the new Roosevelt.
The decision was made early by Republican leaders to do whatever was necessary to torpedo the Obama Presidency, whatever it took, even if the nation suffered as a result.

This isn't about Democrat vs Republican, or even Conservative vs Liberal any more. It goes much further than that. I really fear for my country.
"What can men do against such reckless hatred?"
