Wow. Total nuclear warfare by the Republicans.

For two years the Republicans had almost no power in Washington. Democrats had the presidency, complete control of the House, and 59 seats in the Senate.

Look at the examples of "obstruction" from the article:

On Jan. 21, 2009, Kyl aggressively questioned Geithner during his confirmation hearings. On Jan. 28, 2009, House GOP leadership held the line against the stimulus package (Senate GOP leadership would prove less successful in stopping defections).

Aggressive questioning! My goodness! Practically a coup. And note that "holding the line" in the link meant Republicans didn't vote for a bill that passed 244-188 with 11 Democratic defections. Now that's obstruction.

When Obamacare had to be dragged across the finish line by hook or by crook, it was only because a lot of Democrats jumped ship on it. The ones that didn't were thrown overboard in 2010.

The bill still passed.

We'll quietly leave aside eight years of the Democrats trying to kneecap a president every which way he turned. I can find countless examples.

So don't get smug about "reckless hatred." The guy you'll vote for is from Chicago, where they know how to wreck the opposition. It's how Obama got to be a Senator in the first place.
