Current Events » in reply to Blood thirsty bunker busters.

A couple of points.

1) 'bunker busters' save lives.
They destroy the target more effectively with fewer explosives than the old ways.
They limit collateral damage by exploding in the target.
2) It is not at all agreed that Saddam did not have a direct or at least significant support role in the 911 and other attacks.
3) Saudi Arabia is cooperating, however imperfectly, with the war. Iraq is not.
We do not attack allies when they are not betraying us. Inspite of the claims, there is no conclusive evidence at all that the SA govt. as a policy was supporting Al Qaeda in its attacks on us.
4) The thought of the unavoidable collateral damage on the long oppressed peopel of Iraq is a tragic consequence of Saddam's tyranny. It is clear that our plans have been designed to minimize this in the 1991 war, in Afghanistan, and I am sure now as well.
