A few weights missing

Le Monde? Hey, the French think America sucks dead bunnies through a soda straw! Boy, you could knock me over with a feather.

The U.N. thinks Israel, and pretty much anyone allied with the United States sucks? Another big surprise.

Say, aren't a few things missing from this list? Like pretty much anything involving the United Nations' beloved socialist totalitarian tyrannies? Or the usual gang of U.N. Third World butt kissers? Where is the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan? Of Czechoslovakia? Where are the Khmer Rouge? The North Vietnamese annexation of South Vietnam? If you look at this list, you would think that no one had ever done anything bad on this planet in the last half century except Israel, Morocco, and Turkey. Am I supposed to take this seriously?

The United Nations is so biased and irrelevant in this situation, that it isn't even funny. The organization is totally hostile to America, Israel, and pretty much any Western nation allied with either. I'm beginning to think Bush made a mistake in going along with the charade that the U.N. is a civilized body qualified to objectively judge anything at all.

There are many reasons for disarming/deposing Saddam Hussein that are in the best interests of the United States and its allies in the region, and frankly, if the U.N. resolutions had never existed, those reasons would still be there. I think Bush should acknowledge this, and stop playing politics by kissing up to the U.N.
