I tried to join the Navy in 1990, but I am blind in my right eye so they said no thanks.
I took the physical, the written test. I passed the writen test and everything on my physical except for my eye. I was hoping they would make an exception. I wanted to be a Meteorologist and having one eye would not have caused a problem.
Oh well. I found out in 1992 that I get seasick. Plus, had I gone in, I would have never met my wife. Still, I would have like to have served my country and seen the world.
