Your points on executing innocent people are worth discussion (there is still no case of anyone actually being executed, which does seem to show the system works, however long and byzantine) but as for this specific instance, I notice nobody is asking the victims of these guys or their relatives about how they feel about somebody overturning dozens of trials at a whim.
