Don't expect too many comments from the L'...s...

...this chap makes too much sense.

For the good of the liberal cause sense must be ignored. Emotion is king!

The fact that the average protester is 21 years old - and hasn't a clue about anything should be evidence enough of the sheep that are the fodder for the worldwide protest organizations.

These kids buy into the rhetoric of their leftist professors and teachers.

It's very disturbing in the public schools these days. Many kids know who Martin Luther King was - and do not know who George Washington was, or even the date our nation was founded!

Not to denigrate MLK but, as anyone with a real education will know, Hammurabi and Rome did more for civil rights than MLK ever did. All those folks who worked on our constitution should be equally remembered.

However in the leftist educational arena - soundbytes over substance - is the way the game is played. Indoctrination into leftist values at the earliest ages is the tool of choice. The programming of these leftist mores is more important than real education and so we have a whole host of politically correct diatribes being delivered to 1st graders who haven't a clue that they are being exploited by the educational Svengali's of the teachers unions.

This of course is all done in the name of equality and balance. So when our kids are raised on gangsta-rap, MTV, Avril the anti-Britney, and the only figures from history they know about are Martin Luther King and Chavez, one wonders why anyone is surprised they don't know where Afghanistan, Iraq or Israel are located in the world, and are increasingly medicated by a drug-happy teacher's union (with complacent and complicit parents) who are composed of teacher's incapable of doing anything that resembles teaching.

The teachers have been equally exploited by their teachers - and are a product of the dysfunctional educational system presently in place in the United States. Like the child abuse victims who go on to abuse their own children, continuing the cycle of abuse, leftists of yesterday indoctrinated the leftists of today and the chain of ignorance continues unabated.

In fact, due to the influx of peoples who are also unburdened by the rigors of an education, the nation can quickly muster brain-dead folks by the thousands, who honestly believe they are morally superior to the rest of society. They don't have enough data to even vaguely put foreign policy into context further than the soundbytes they have been programmed to parrot.

There is a macabre spectacle in watching a protest these days. It is the same unsettling feeling one gets watching the lemmings throw themselves into the sea, mindlessly. One knows they are incapable of knowing they are most likely dooming themselves to patterns of bitter, frustration and are simply tools (victims?) of the frustrated folks who indoctrinated them.

War is horrible. It is to be avoided. However, in some instances war is inevitable and even desirable. All things must have positive sides - and war does too. In this instance war is liberation - the essence of freedom. The very folks who believe in national sovereignity, seem to support national will only when it is pursued by a two-bit dictator and then throw spurious defenses as to why removing such a regime is wrong.

"We created him" is one of these - which is not true of course, but is a three word sound byte that justifies leaving him alone.

"His daddy's pride" is another soundbyte which one hears from folks who have no intellectual capacity for rationally justifying the propagation of one of the world's worst dictatorships.

"War for oil" is yet another and is preposterous on the face of it, considering our previous gulf experiences, yet reveals the communist, anti-capitalist underpinnings which drive, and have almost always driven the environmental and most all twentieth century protest movements.

In conclusion, it is apprent that educational reform is the most important domestic issue our nation faces today. Far more important than social security, medicaire, tort reform or any other issue. A nation of folks where the compulsory educational system is tainted - taints almost every citizen to varying degrees - and leaves our nation subject to internal rot, and impeded progress.

I hope to hear more on this from Bush in his State of the Union address.
