WWI

The ultimate reasons for World War I remain as obscure today as they were 90 years ago, but one very large factor contributing to WWI was that the so-called Great Powers were all eager for conflict, and just looking for any excuse to initiate hostilities. Sound familiar?

But why were the nations of Europe itching for war?

Follow the money.

I have a hard time believing that the large munitions concerns were not involved in behind-the scenes intrigue leading up to Sarajevo, and in its aftermath, since they were about the only ones to profit from the enormous slaughter which followed.

Follow the money.

War was romanticized then, and everyone thought it would be over by Christmas. How wrong they all were.

While we're on the subject of WWI, I wonder how many know the true story of the Lusitania incident, which propelled the United States into that conflict?

Like the Spanish-American War, like WWII, like Vietnam, like the current 'War on Terror," the American public was stampeded into war by deceit and its bodyguard of lies, endlessly repeated in the national media.

Who profits?

Follow the money.
