Why we lost the Viet Nam War

American voters lost faith that after nearly 20 years of our military promising victory, that no such victory would be forthcoming. The only way that Nixon could be elected was if he got us out of the war.

If you don't think that 20 years was long enough, then when would you have pulled the plug?
