What the European countries don’t have to spend on their own defense they can spend at their discretion be that foreign aid or healthcare for hookers.
From the US Office of Management and Budget (OMB):
“The President’s fiscal year 2001 international affairs budget request is $22.8 billion, an increase of$2.7 billion (13 percent) over the $20.1 billion fiscal year 2000 enacted level (not including $1.85 billion in Wye River/Egypt funding, and $1.65 billion in
requests for supplemental appropriations Kosovo/Southeast Europe, Assistance to Plan Colombia, and Debt Restructuring).”
Davin, go to the OMB site and download the foreign aid/International affairs page and the historical tables. I’d be willing look any source you consider more accurate.
(I wasted enough time on that MIT moron and now I have to deal with a Carnegie MellonHead.)
