Actually, his arms came from France and Russia
Look at the hardware in his military and you won't find any American made stuff. He got his tanks and most of his ground equipment from Russia. He got his planes from France and Russia. The US didn't sell him anything, so it doesn't seem accurate to claim that "we armed him."
