Granted, its weak. What we really owe them is an HONEST attempt at a real peaceful solution. We came up with sactions, which saddam used to whip his people, and then stopped trying.
"You could say that because of the *difficulties* associated with the Cold war, America has indebted itself. Now, we are attempting to make amends for the past human suffering."
Again, perhaps we agree in context but not in resulting action. We don't make it up by killing a bunch of frightened boys in ragtag uniforms in the dessert.
