and the 'others' are usually conservative. Look, no insult to MA, Lindy, Bowser, Publius and Tony, but they are largely silent and they tend not to do anything more than post their thoughts once and back away.

People are still accusing me of being 'ignorant' even as I display detailed knowledge of the relevant facts or without 'honor' because of the nature of my position (EBnelson), or equivalent to a Holocaust Denier (LarryJ), or a 'conspiracy nut' (P) because I disagree. I nuke them back to the stone age and show them as fools or frauds, IMHO, but that tends to make people miffed at my behavior. Its as if I am supposed to smile and show nothing but respect in the face of ignorance and odius behavior, and never call it for what it is.

And its not just a few, its a Great Many on this board, most who are of right-leaning mentality. Then the general 'line' is to accuse the left around here of being irrational. Its hypocricy, pure and simple.

So you [third person indirect. not you specifically] bully those who would speak their minds, Ignore when they defend themselves with reason and fact, and then write them off as kooks. Meanwile, people like Lee seem to get more tolerance than the Lindys. After awhile, they are left just stating their opinion, as they will be given no quarter in anycase, no matter what defense they proffer up.

Now, the reason I stay are for people like You, Tech1, R.L., Robert, REB, RobVG- and MANY MORE I am forgetting about. Bright conservatives with decent command of the facts and displaying response to reason. Also, Even those who make the worst non-technical thinkers are fantastic and admirable in their command of technical matters concerning Space, Physics, Astronomy and Engineering. I learn a lot from them and I am greatful to them for sharing their understanding with me.

But, you HAVE to admit that there is a serious disfunction of this community when it comes to non-technical matters. There are many people who loose ALL sense of rigor or accuracy when it comes to thinking things through formally outside of their area of expertise.
