How does 200,000 wrongs make 100,000 wrongs right?
So, Saddam gassed Kurds. What does that have to do with the American President being a lying son-of-a-gun? Why didn't he express this outrage 15 years ago. Why did he appoint Rumsfeld and run with Cheney if he thought this was so tragic?
What is the logic of the US sinking to the level of morality it says it's trying to correct? Do we let the worst people on Earth determine our level of conduct?
If you're a politically conservative American, the answer is a resounding "YES!" The answer is that the ends justify any means, no matter how immoral, no matter how despicable, no matter how cruel, no matter how brutal. That's the conservative way, I'm afraid.
And that's just not right. Someone has to be sane, besides the damned French! And Russians, for Christ's sake.
But it's not the US.
