Iran and Syria must wonder what is next.
Once Iraq is defeated, attention will probably turn to the other terrorist sponsoring states (as it should). Hopefully, they will respond more reasonably to diplomatic initiatives designed to stop terrorism.
If not, they may find themselves isolated or even blockaded to prevent the distribution of WMD to terrorist organizations. I don't thenk they will run to France, Germany, and Russia for protection, as those countries proved themselves to be powerless to protect Sadam Hussain's Iraq.
Iran shouldn't even need a military after the threat of Sadam Hussain is gone, so lets hope the shooting and Middle Eastern Militerism stops with Iraq. It will be sad for all involved if it does not.
