Swerving to hit another straw man?

You seem to have more straw men in your army than Saddam has Republican Guards. Should we call yours the Republican Strawman Guard?

To quote St. Ronnie: There you go again:
I understand the concept of religion bothers a lot of liberals.

I hope it won't come as a surprise to you that there are many thoughtful Christians who think that separation of church and state is a darn good idea. That's what this is about, not some straw man about Liberals having a thing against religion.

Bush is a member of a particular Christian sect, and a majority of the others disagree with him about the war. It's definitely a conflict of interest/conflict of religion if Bush thinks that his policies are divinely inspired. Inspired by whose God?

I can only add my agreement to the point others have made, that the feeling of being singled out by God--whether "chosen" or "called"--is the antithesis of humility. "He whom the gods would destroy they first make proud", and in this case, punishing Bush for his hubris would punish all of America. Bush's religious influences are a matter of legitimate public concern.
