Why is it so scary to have a leader who believes there is something a lot bigger than he is working in the world? Most religious people are humbled by this, and leaders can sometimes use a little humility.
There are plenty of leaders in this world who think they ARE God--the kind who make statues of themselves everywhere--and that isn't a very good alternative.
