"Maybe. I'm not sure if the distinction would make any difference to my question, though. Would a person only "called" but not "chosen" (whatever that means) be less likely to believe that his actions were God's will? Instruct me."
I'm not a Christian, but I have some understanding of the Christian faith. First of all, from Christian prospective, all that happens in life, is the will of God- good & bad- insignificant and important. This is what is taught, but there is a difference knowing the dogma and "experiencing the truth". So this is what the president is probably talking about [experiencing the truth]. Experiencing the truth would the same as a revelation. Or if you are someone who has taken drugs, it might be "similar" to being high. This can be explained medically- but this sort of "misses" the point.
