"All of these have in common the basic moral premise that if you can prevent a wrong you should and that you should not enable any immoral activity."
Yes, and many arabs think killing US citizens is preventing a wrong and, in not helping us in our seeking out of terrorists, are not enabling any immoral activity.
I know they are wrong because thier moral code fails to meet reasonable and rational basis and even is in contradiction to some of the values they claim to hold. It also involves a massive miscontrction of reality.
So the point is not just to act out against thoese things you know to be wrong, but to actually KNOW that
1) What you are acting against is wrong in a way that is reasonable, rational and consistent
2) That your actions conform to reasonable, rational and consistent values.
Otherwise, you are behaving off the SAME failure that the terrorists and their supporters are acting from. IMHO, that makes you on the exact same level.
Conviction and belief ARE commendable, but only when they are subordinate to reason and best observation.

Why is the 'do whatever I *believe is right'
