There is no doubt...
...that "shock and awe" made a more significant impression upon the Republican Guard than it did upon the American media. We only witnessed a small slice of it from a couple of tv cameras in central Baghdad.
The simple fact is that this war was effectively over well before it ever began. One only wishes Mr. Hussein had understood that before actual hostilities commenced. Perhaps thousands of lives might have been saved.
