There are a number of things you can tell a leftist or a liberal that causes them to perform the mental equivalent of putting their fingers in their ears and going "LA LA LA LA LA LA." I may put down a list sometime.
But one of these things is the fact that the goal of the current Palestinian leadership and many of their Arab allies is the absolute and utter destruction of Israel as a nation. You cannot have a realistic view of the situation unless you are willing to admit this.
BTW, it would be really something if Bush actually solved the Mideast problem just to be able to watch the reaction on the Left.
