"just blaminging everyone accept Bill Clinton for the Middle Eastern Mess."
If you read my post, what I explicitly said is there is enough blame to go around many times over and it is absolutely nutzoid to blame Just Clinton.
"You know who I blame? The French"
Tell, you what, lets make it easy and just blame you ;-)
"You know, the sadest thing obout our overwhelming victory in Iraq is that it (and not the real causes you cited...Palestinians, Syria, Isreal, Pat Robertson, floridation of water, etc...) will be sited as the sole reason for turmoil in the Middle East..."
I'm not sure what you are responding to, my post or the voices in your head (JK, scott)...
I don't blame our current invasion of Iraq for historical problems in the ME, nor do I disagree with your statement. In fact, thats one of the dumbest things: we invaded without having our political ducks in row, so new EVERY death in Iraq and EVERY bad thing in the region will be pinned on our chest. Its not going to make for good foreign policy over the next decade or two (or even a century! The west is STILL paying for French + Dutch + English screw-ups in the 1800's, how long will we pay for this screw up). Yes, of course we kicked ass and took names- that was, IMHO, a foregone conclusion. But winning does not justify the war nor make it a smart move.
