It was a dumb thing to say.
It is beneath a Senator to discuss crap like this.
Its not like the Senate can do anything to influence the sitting Supreme Court on this issue. And if this is the "litmus test" that Santorum or any other Senator uses when confirming Supreme Court Justices, then he doesn't deserve the honor of sitting in the U.S. Senate. We have much bigger problems than this to deal with. We really don't need distractions like this and he played right into the Democrat's hands.
Could anybody be suprised that gay-rights organizations are aghast at these stupid remarks? Or that Democrats would use the issue to call for him to resign?
The guy needs to wake up...Its the 21st century...
