Titanic orchestra
Point taken, Davin, but I think you do the orchestra a disservice.
They played, calmly courageous in the face of certain death, to ease the last moments of innocents about to go to their doom. This was all they could do, and they did it well.
The Bush cheerleaders are only trying to make themselves feel better, while all around them the economy is going down in flaming ruins. Something could possibly be done about it, if all Americans saw with a clear eye and spoke with one voice.
All it takes for Bush to triumph (and the US to fall) is for (enough) good citizens to look at him through sufficiently rose-tinted glasses.
