the Democrats tried to accuse Rumsfeild of cutting the Military
Because he didn't support pork spending on the crussader artillary system.
There's a lot of false accusing going around.
Bush cut pork programs, and we had some base closures that were needed. So some feathers in congress got ruffled.
Clinton was all to eager to continue those cuts.
Don't look for many more cuts in military spending until the war on terror is won.
Invest now in the Military industrial complex! Congress just can't resist the urge to spend more!
And we need a shuttle replacement too!
