re: international law

Mark,
Your country has also supported Israel against resolutions condemning it for illegal occupation, and this for far longer than 10 years.
Your contry has supported Iraq against Iran, during the war they waged against each other.

International law has nothing to do with what a country decides to do on its own.
International law has existed and still exists and is applied by democracies and also dictatorships, throughout the world.
We may not like and inhabitants in a dictatorial country may not like what's going on in their country, but it is not up to other countries to decide what to do about it. International law is competent for matters between countries, not matters inside a country, when they don't affect other countries.
