This is the place for "raw and opportunistic political nature", O'Neil. That's why this Board exists in parallel to Space. Stick around for a while and treat yourself to some of the raw, opportunistic utterances of the side Raoul opposes.

And please read more of Raoul's posts in Current Events. He is a consummate pacifist, as much part of his nature as his wonder at and love for the Universe - they are inseparable aspects of Raoul. I, for one, greatly admire his forthrightness. Raoul is also the sole European regular here. He has volunteered, sometimes in the face of ridicule, to remind the overwhelmingly American majority in the Zone that they live on a planet with other people capable of reason, compassion and informed moral judgement... and that in spite of America's leaders' best efforts to ignore them, those other people will neither shut up nor go away.

Would there were more like him.
