Neon purple

The answer's more of that geeky stuff...has to do with "Cascading Style Sheets", and the meaning of "cascading". Style sheets control the appearance of the page, and you can have multiple style sheets. When the first style sheet defines the appearance of something, say a paragraph (the "P" tag), a later style sheet can redefine its appearance differently. That's "cascading". The new design has a basic style sheet, and optionally several more that can be loaded to customize the appearance. When you choose smaller text, for example, a new style sheet is loaded that defines text at a smaller size. Some of the style sheets are currently pretty rough, and I'll be fixing little things like temporary neon purple links.

I had a chance to ponder the problem of restoring visited-link tracking, and it may have a simpler solution than I feared. Stay tuned.
