That's exactly who's been attacking US and UK troops - and also attacking Iraqis who dare help build the new, free, democratic, prosperous Iraq.
You see, there were a few Iraqis who did benefit under Saddam's Reign of Terror, and now they're bummed out. It's a rather bleak future they face in the new Iraq. There's also a small number of radical Islamic terrorists who'd benefit from chaos and violence.
But thankfully, it's quite clear that most Iraqis believe the US presence is essential to the creation of a new stable Iraqi government, and most Iraqis are willing to work to create a better Iraq. The recent CSM poll also found solid evidence that poor Iraqis were far more welcoming of the coalition forces than wealthier Iraqi neighborhoods. Ain't too hard to figure out why. Who did okay under Saddam's rule, and why might they be upset now?
