You're right Frank. And thanks for being honest.
What would you have us talk about? The weather?
The newest report from the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) says that global warming is taking us down a slippery slope or (perhaps) we should discuss the failing economy which is taking us down another slippery slope.
Where would you like to go next?
We DO discuss Iraq, and we've been discussing it ever since Sadam was "next".
REMEMBER?
That had to have been a year ago, and it's the ONE event that has the WHOLE WORLD polarized, so I guess it's not likely to go away anytime soon as a most important topic.
>"there ain't gonna be any epiphanies here"
Discussion brings about understanding except for those who don't want to participate.
>"Those that feel they have a mission should take to the streets for catharsis."
And they are.......just get ready for the primaries.
ALL the dirty laundry will be up for view. It ain't going to be pretty. And of course, if you'd like to find the GOOD we're doing in Iraq, then please find the articles of interest and spam us with them. We'd LOVE to see real progress there.
Personally, I think we should have conscripted any middle eastern male living in the US to go back to Iraq and "liberate" it.....American style. At least we'd have a better chance of working with the natives and get their support than what has happened now.
They ought to take a poll among IRAQIS in the streets and ask them how they think their "liberation" is going and if they think it was worth it all.
