Given the many posts I have read from Davin on many subjects, I would stand by this post on his basic views as being accurate. He has raised himself above the knee-jerk left (KJL) in a number of ways, including support of our efforts in Afghanistan (the KJL fought just as hard against that military effort as against Iraq, invalidating their "attacked us first" arguments of later.)
I also have not the slightest doubt that if major hard evidence is found proving Iraqi WMD, terror links, and the rest, that Davin will willingly modify his position, despite the fact that he has hung himself a lot further out onto the "never were any WMD/terrorists in Iraq" branch than most. I would not say the same for a lot of others.
I myself have not formulated a solid position on Liberia yet, although I know would dearly love to see any solution other than sending U.S. troops at this point. But who ya gonna call?
