Whats the point, you don't listen, dont know what your talking about, but don't relent anyway. So lets pick at words some more, sicne that is what you want to do.
SDAI wrote: "I go on and show you that Marx alive and well in economics classes in universities throughout the nation and twist it now as inconsequential"
Bullshit, Tech, as usual.
Your original claim: "It's truly sad that capitalism isn't a course all by itself on college campuses and has to share space with the teachers favored Marxist principles taught in Economics 101."
My claim is that its not the case that Economics 101 is taught using marxist principles, at all.
You dredge up some college courses that have marx in them, that are not even all economics classes, are not 101 classes, are not required, are not Marxist and claim that you are supported.
Bullshit, tech one.
What, so if they don't line up and burn Das Kapital, they are marxists?
"You still have not hung out around enough academicians if you think many of them are retired businessmen. "
Yawn, as per usual, not what I said. Most Econ/Business profs I know are retired businessmen, thats a fact.
". Buck chimes in with his encounter with a Marxist professor and we see that not only is Marxism alive and well but that professors are not rare "
I see, so the claim of ONE avowed marxist means that they are not rare? HoHumm....
As usual (wow, this phrase 'as usual' just pops up EVERY time we talk? Aint that just something?) you made an absurd claim (like SARS, IQ and whatever else) and got fed YOUR words. Sorry tech one, I believe you like I believe that youre just being 'sardonic and sarcastic' when you accuse liberals of taking joy in the death of american soldiers.
Until recently, I made my wage teaching college kids. Not that long ago, I studied under one of the greatest economists of this age. I make my bread, today, by designing and implementing on-line courses for CMU and elsewhere. One of the courses I work peripherally with is a very successful Economics course, and one of the principal researchers I work with is a noted economist. My workplace IS academia, tech-one, and has been for a long time.
So I certainly will not bother arguing with you on the role of Marx in education, especially economics. I will chime in when you spew inaccuracies in hope that I can nip those inaccuracies in the bud. But I really don't care if you take offense.
