The only marx taught in CSUN where I attended b-school was in a political economy course I took. It was poly sci dept and the teacher was indeed a marxist. The course however was a balanced examination of neoclassical economics, marxism and economic nationalism. I found it an enlightening and refreshing departure for the extreme neoclassical slant of the entire business school economics dept. I finished the course more convinced than ever of the superiority of democratic capitalism, but also with a clearer undertanding of how all three of these major economic philosophies can be counter-productive if taken to extreme.

Knowledge is a good thing, and marxisn for all its flaws is a philosophy that should be examined and disected. To criticize the study of a philosophy that had such profound inpact on world history is ridiculous.
