So far, none of Mr. Bush's claims have proven true. He was wrong about Iraq's so-called nuclear weapons program. He was wrong about Saddam Hussein's non-existent ties with Al Qaeda. He claimed that Iraq had hundreds of tons of chemical and biological weapons and he knew where they were (that's a direct quote). He claimed that these weapons were deployed and expected to be used against U.S. and U.K. forces. None of these things have proven true.
To date we have captured thousands of Iraqis. Not one has told us where these so-called weapons of mass destruction are...not even those we asserted were running the country's weapons programs.
We went to war on the basis of false and exaggerated claims made by a sitting President. Yet you gripe about Al Gore, aprivate citizen, making what was essentially an accurate statement - the 9/11 investigation found no ties between 9/11 and Iraq. I find your bald hypocrisy here appalling and disturbing.
