re: a couple of problems

A couple problems with this. One is that some of this stuff is being done by suicide bombers. Obviously no such person has a goal of setting himself up as a tyrant?

Oh, come on. I would have thought it was painfully obvious that the people with the agenda are not the ones actually risking their oh-so-important necks. That's what the cannon fodder is for. When was the last time you saw Yasser Arafat pick up a gun or a bomb belt?

Another is: how does bombing the UN mission promote tyranny?

Don't ask me. I'm not the Islamist nutjob.

Another is: okay so what? If all ill in Iraq is done by people who love tyranny, is it not also true that they want the US out of there? How can you separate those motivations? Why would you try?

It's also true that bank robbers and carjackers don't want the cops around either. Why is that relevant? It still doesn't make the cops the bad guys.

Kind of a non sequitor, but I'll respond, anyway. The palestinians have been, and continue to be wronged. Yeah, I know: it's their own fault for not vacating the land.

It's not a non sequitor. We are dealing with exactly the same kind of people and motivations. Yasser Arafat, under more favorable circumstances, would be another Hussein. And being "wronged" does not give you the right to DELIBERATELY blow up children and other innocent civilians.
