Mr. Enquirer.....
Don's holding up his points really well, and I see you conservatives are trying every trick in the book to get him to stop demonstrating his point so beautifully.
Look at what you said earlier:
>"It really is a case of being either "for us or agin us" when it comes to countering militant Islamic/Arab nationalist terrorism. If you do not want to actively seek and destroy the terrorists and extremists, you only aid and abet them and their "cause" by your inaction, ignorance or indifference - in short, you are a terrorist enabler."
This is a bunch of hissy whitewash......"actively seeking and destroying terrorists" does NOT mean going into foreign countries, bombing the heck out of them and their infrastructure and trying to replace with the government with an elected official sitting behind a desk with long lists of things to do. I hesitate to think you sound like SDAI in sheep's clothing. Thick headed.
As for picking on Don's statement to "move along here, nothing to see" in regards to General Clark's statement, you said:
I do not understand your belligerence and mockery here. Such hostility and ad hominem supposition can itself stifle "debate" with earnest opponents."
It is a clear example of something you cannot SEE.
It is NOT belligerent, not is he trying to stifle debate,. Hell, you're trying to dismiss as a "terrorist enabler"! Get real!
>"None of the news footage I saw of the anti-war protests suggested the participants were interested in anything approaching "debate".
Protests happen when there is no chance of debate. Bush wanted this war MONTHS before he actually went in. There was no debate. It's like your lover is trying to leave you. You know it's going to happen. The debate and pleading and rationalization is over.
In protest, you bar the door.
>"I have noticed no anti-war protests against war and democide elsewhere in the world, like the millions who have died in the Congo over the last five years. "
We are cut off emotionally and financially from Africa. They have no oil, they have no terrorists bothering us and they have no resources of any real value to us. Your position is weak and not very realistic.
I think you have your head in the clouds, like all the other radical conservatives over here. Why don't you go out and get a shoe shine?
Current Events » in reply to I would never stifle "debate"
You're not even "Skeptical"
