God, I wish we could get liberals as incensed about protecting our wealth and property as they are about our privacy.
It's amazing what hills people will choose to die on. Somehow, what I read on a computer is sacred and off limits to the government, but pretty much everything I do to run my business is rigidly controlled by the state and nobody cares. Raise someone's taxes five percent and it's a big yawn, but charge them two bucks to use another bank's ATM machine and they're marching in the streets.
