When? A few months ago when the President and his advisers were telling everybody Saddam was a threat to the world because he definitely had WMD's?
We only had his words for us to believe in it.
Same for him, btw!
He gambled Saddam would have them.
And, at the time, it wasn't easy to trust Saddam as he was in control of his country.
But now, the situation is reversed.
It turns out that the world's opinion towards your president is following the same path.
While Aziz and all those allowed to talk to the foreign press or the UN inspectors, in Iraq, said they had no WMD's anymore, your president convinced your country that Saddam was lying.
But now, as it's so obvious all this was wrong, it's also time to convince the world that it was worth removing Saddam from power.
But this could have been done much pore cheaply and faster with a highly trained, informed, trusted and motivated commando.
But....
But this was against international law which condemns occupation of a sovereign country by a foreign power.
But this forces your president to rely upon the same international institution that was ignored.
But this forces your president to confront those who justifiably ask: why Iraq, why not North Korea which is a far bigger threat to world peace, why not Iran with its despot regime, why not Zimbabwe and Angola and Algeria...why double standards?
