Bush hailed U.S. forces serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, saying: "You're standing for order and hope and democracy in Afghanistan and Iraq. You're standing up for the security of all free nations, and for the advance of freedom."
Sounds good, but just how true is it?
There WAS order in Afganistan and Iraq.
And except for a few, who really WANTED democracy?
(And don't give me your sob stories how BAD they had it, because there are plenty of other nations you don't care ONE WHIT ABOUT and they have the same type of dictator).
How many of you THINK they'll end up being a democracy?
I can tell you now, with their old cultures and tribalism, they will NEVER become a democracy. Not with the Russians selling them weapons, or any other country that can get in there for profit. We have just kicked a well built hornet's nest into smithereens.
How about his next line "You're standing up for the security of all nations"?
Nope, more like you're putting yourself on the line to DIE for an ill-begotten war with no end. The money and man power would have been better spent shoring up our intelligence here at home and putting out a new squad of defenders on our borders, in our institutions and organizing and gaining co-operation with an INTERNATIONAL group of countries who want to stamp out "terrorism".
And how about the "Advance of Freedom"?
What a pretty SOUND BYTE.
Is this one of Karl Rove's sentences to stir our nationalism?
Maybe it's SDAI's?
Bush just got another $400 BILLION + for "defense", not only for newer, deadlier nuclear weapons, but for "missile defense".
Yup, the future looks bleaker by the minute.
The abyss is here. Welcome to the New World Order.
