If 66 billion is going towards military spending I'm guessing (haven't been able to find a breakdown) a majority portion is earmarked for hardware maintenance and replacement. Dust is hell on engines and equipement.

So who manufactures the replacements?

I'm just trying to say that I think there is some truth in the quote that Ed found so offensive(?).

And people like you and I probably won't (and don't) question military spending in a time of war. Maybe we should.
