Of the $87 billion, most of it (all but about $20 billion) is funding our military operations. The rest of the money is also being used in both Iraq AND Afghanistan. There is no "$87 billion" going into the hands of contractors. Which, by the way, are largely American and employ Americans. Just so we keep that in mind.
