Economic modeling works best to explain things that have already happened.
These projections assume that...the expiring provisions of the tax code will be extended
i.e. the 'liberal successor government' won't exercise its third option- to raise taxes.
Because we have a war and a recession, the current situation of reactionary fiscal policy doesn't fit the model either. It's like trying to apply the rules of soccer to American football.
