You rang?
At the risk of sounding "uncivil," and apparently having to pound the point in with a twelve-pound sledge,
Ironic choice of words. The use of violent metaphor permeates the rhetoric of the Right these days.
Neiwert addressed history, and the incivility of the Left decades ago. It's the present he's talking about. You keep bringing up the past as justification for your present behavior. Are you saying it's retribution? Aren't you therefore admitting to the truth of what Neiwert and I are saying?
few things piss me off as much as when people I'm arguing with play "thick," particularly when I know they aren't.
I know this is a difficult concept for you, Tom, but try considering the possibility that I genuinely disagree with you. It's rather arrogant of you to label such disagreement "thick"...but par for the course, and yet more evidence of the incivility of the Right.
Not that we lack evidence. Try to take an objective look at your posts up and down the page. Almost all of them are dripping palpable hatred of all things not conservative. You're going to blow a gasket, Tom...if the country doesn't blow first.
BTW, have you noticed how often you use the word "folks" at the end of a sentence? That's a dead giveaway that you've been spending way too much time listening to the Right's alpha hatemonger Limbaugh. This isn't just a phenomenon that materialized out of the vacuum of the amorphous "Right", it's possible to identify specific individuals deliberately fanning the flames.
