I didn't get especially excited over the show, but then, I guess I'm getting kind of jaded. Yeah, I remember the original series and I really didn't care all that much for it. I'll watch part two tonight because there isn't much else on. As for Boomer and Starbuck being women, well, I'd rather look at a good looking woman than a man any day.
As for Starbuck being a, shall we say, somewhat crude woman, it reminds me of a column I read last weekend about northern verses southern women. When watching a football game, a northern woman would say, "My goodness, football is a violent game."
A southern woman would say, "Come on, you slow sombitch! Tackle that sucker and break his legs!"
I grew up in the South and married a Filipina. I like lively women.
