Watched it twice. 8^l

The fx are great. I see that they caved in to some extent on sound effects in space. This is not so bad. As much as a purist insists on the silence of space, it might be a bit disconcerting to have long periods of total silence. At least the explosions are silent.

I liked the (Dune style) explanation of low tech ships with no networked computers.

The Cylons look good and I like the idea of the Cylon fighters being pilotless. I had expected the sex pot android to be conflicted but she is pure evil, a great villain and baby murderer.

I don't really have a problem with Starbuck but but based on last night the name Boomer doesn't seem appropriate for that character.

I thought I saw a helmet that looked similar to the original series but a bit more subtle. I could be wrong. FTL was handled well (don't try to explain it Jordie). Thank goodness for the absence of "by your command" and especially "daggets".

Well, we do know that somehow Apollo and the DWW lady survived the nuke and she will continue to be a pacifist thorn in Adama's side. The struggle between right and left goes on. ;^)
