re: How Hawaii deals with it

I've been to Tenerife and that's the best European Sky!
But I can't go there every day:(.
Anyway, more or less same volcanic island characteristics.
I've read an article about the future telescopes:
VLTI (chili)
Keck interferometer (MK)
Large Binocular Telescope (Mt Graham)
Gran Telescopio Canarias (Canary)
South African Large Telescope
Large Zenith Telescope (Canada)

Large Synoptic Survey telescope
NGCFHT
Giant Magellan Telescope
California Extremely Large Telescope
Giant Segmented Mirror Telescope
Euro50
OWL

It's going to be tough choosing where to put them.
