You think corruption's unheard of in the U.S. space industry? Ever heard of Boeing?

Are you suggesting that corruption's unheard of in the U.S. space industry? Presumably you've heard of Boeing's latest debacle, which cost it its CEO? Why should Astrium be expected to behave in the presence of even fewer checks and balances, over in Europe? Do any European companies pose a significant threat to Astrium where Mars is concerned? Please elaborate and assess, if you assert that some do.
