Where's You Proof Tom?
I don't see anyone doing it easier. The ESA and Japan just failed at Mars as the Russians have. ESA did acheive Mars orbit, but Japan couldn't do that. NASA failed most recently by putting low cost ahead of success. Trying to do what so many claim is so easy. All of the suspsected failure modes on the last two failed NASA Mars probes could and should have been caught, but weren't do to cutbacks in testing funding. The Apollo 13, Voyager, Mars global surveyor, and Galileo overcame huge obstacles to become major successes due to NASA ingenuity. Who else has managed such comebacks. Wishful thinking doesn't make anything happen.
