Hi Lindy. I'm going to suggest gently once again that instead of reading media propaganda you go to the link Tom provided and read each of the Iraqi bloggers to the right on every blog site. Now this will keep one busy for many hours (I know because I do it every other day or so) but it will give you a true and very thorough overview of the situation all over the country, along with their feelings - and also much history of the country, as these Iraqis are happy to tell us all about their history to help us understand. And, contrary to what you say, most Iraqis are not of the opinion that life is deteriorating and not improving , nor is the list of gripes you mention the general concensus .. some villages and cities have difficulties it's true, and some people are unhappy, but most of the country is beginning to pull itself together quite well. Any news you get from the media can be bested by the truth from these outgoing Iraqis willing to tell us the real deal.
