I sound angry?
Well, the conservatives over here can call us liberals every name in the book, including "psycho hose beasts", and every time we post OUR views or feelings about the war and how it's going (or not going), we get ridiculed, insulted and shouted down. So pardon me if I sound a little defensive. It's always the men on this board that do it, so I have come to discusss these things WITH rancor. And I don't want to offend you. And my heart especially goes out to YOU, because your son is in Iraq. I can imagine how hard that must be.
No, I'm not an angry person. I don't know how long you've been visiting these boards, but I have been posting with these guys for the past five years. I know most of them, and they know me. My attitudes and writing style are ingrained, just like theirs are. They might treat YOU better, because you're new AND a woman, but they're not going to cut ME any slack.
So, I tried to share my ideas with you (admitting I'd sound pissy), and although my tongue was pushing out my cheek, I did not mean to offend you.
It's just the way I write. It may sound TO YOU like I need to have some anger management, but what if I'm angry that the boss (Bush) lies to put us into war, that he avoids any and all international positions, that his modus operandi is threats, intimidation, force and extortion, and I'm supposed to just lie down and ACCEPT the savaging of innocents with GRACE??
Sorry, if I need an "anger management" course for my OPINION, then this country is in worse shape than I imagined.
Now, back to you. I,m sure you're a delightful person, and I do not want to offend you, so let's not talk about the "war" in Iraq at all. That way you won't be offended or insulted, if I should hold a position with vigor.
Semper fi.
